Wilson Learning FZ LLC, the local office of Wilson Learning Worldwide, a global provider of Human Performance Improvement solutions, today announces that it has won the SME100 Award, issued by Dubai Government, for the second time in a row.
Dubai SME, an agency under the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) mandated to develop the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector, has continued efforts to support small and medium sized enterprises in Dubai and further extended its services. With the growth of the region and the importance of SMEs in the local market, internationally recognised organisations have helped to establish an independent ranking system, led by Dubai SME.
Dubai SME 100 follows the successful launch of the first official definition of SMEs in Dubai in 2009, which is defined as any Dubai-registered firm with a turnover of up to AED 250 million (U.S. $68 million) and employs up to 250 staff. Based on this definition, the Dubai SME sector comprises 95% of the total enterprise population, employs around 40% of the Dubai workforce and contributes 40% of the Emirates value added. The total number of SMEs in Dubai is in the range of 76,000.
Wilson Learning FZ LLC has again been ranked according to a point system following various types of parameters, such as Financial Growth, Innovation, Human Capital Development, and International Orientation. The new parameter added for this year’s ranking is Corporate Governance and measures the organisation structure, sustainability, processes and excellence in management.
Stephan Melchior, Managing Partner of Wilson Learning FZ LLC, comments: “To win this prestigious award for the second time in a row is especially exciting, as it demonstrates sustainable success to our clients. Only 30 of the 2011 winners have made it again—internally, this shows the dedication of our team and the ongoing trust of our clients.”
Frank Croswell, a Senior Director at Wilson Learning Middle East, continues: “Customers expect to work with consultants who understand the local and global challenges they are experiencing. Developing our consultants is, therefore, a priority. Our knowledgeable team is able to engage in successful customer partnerships to create innovative solutions that address current business issues, experienced on larger and more complex projects.”
Wilson Learning’s success is reflected through applying a consultative HPI (Human Performance Improvement) approach to interaction with clients, recommending proven and practical solutions that have a measurable outcome and impact on their strategic business goals. In the region, Wilson Learning operates through the Dubai head office, as well as through established partnerships in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
“Global is not only where we are, it is who we are. This significant recognition and achievement emphasises how Wilson Learning’s reach and reputation for providing exceptional learning and consulting solutions connected to measurable performance improvement is expanding around the globe,” adds David Yesford, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Support, Wilson Learning Worldwide.
